Hi everyone - to keep you updated about the co-founder situation, I will no longer be pursuing a partnership with the prospective candidate since in the end we couldn't come to an agreement that made both parties happy.
There are no hard feelings about this between us since we both had 2 separate visions for the future of the product, considering this it wouldn't be the best decision long term.
I will instead be pursing a partnership with another (different) capable software engineer whom is also one of my good friends I met at university (7y ago) whilst on the same course (software engineering). We have already worked together previously and even lived in a house share together. We know that we complement each other well and can trust each other 100%.
So that's where I'm currently at - we are still going in the direction of building a new platform however this time it will truly be an MVP (not a platform that will take a year to build...). Everything will be stripped back so we can iterate and move fast.
More to come on the direction/angle we are taking with this new platform.
