30th November Project Update
Status of development
In order to conserve funds during this bear market, we have changed the development package we are on to part-time instead of full-time. This was a necessary change considering that we didn’t feel like we were getting value for money on the full-time package.
These are the current top priority items that are being worked through:
- Fix new creators being unable to list NFTs
- Fix subscriptions
- Fix thumbnails appearing blank (including testing for those files over 200MB)
- Fix the Most Recent filter
- Identify and fix the few users who we are unable to send messages to or tip
The subscription feature was supposed to be completed before the change in packages however a particular bug has meant that it’s taken longer than first estimated to be completed.
Plan of action moving forward
In order to move at the speed that we want and come out of the other end of the bear market strongly, development will be changing to more of an equity based model.
These past few months I have been interviewing many smart, successful tech founders/engineers in order to fill a technical co-founder position. Soon a decision will be made based on the shortlist - they will be able to bring startup experience onto the team and be responsible for progressing the platform beyond the MVP stage whilst feeling more ownership over the product.
That being said, if there is anyone within the community that feels that they could take on this role and would be able to go full-time with it (hands on development in return for equity), message me with your background and experience or email lydia@cumrocket.io

Latest update on subs is fixing this one crucial bug where the creator isn't getting the cummies for the subscription, we are reviewing our options and might have to implement it a different way if it's taking too long to crack (currently implemented using a third party service called 8pay as we thought it would be quicker however integrating it has proven more of a challenge). However the rest of it works like the feed views, commenting, liking, posting etc. Once this one bug is fixed we can move ahead :)

We apologise for the delay with updates, we had encountered more setbacks than anticipated ever since the main server in London went down.
That aside I can announce the following changes in production as of today.
• Homescreen Redesign.
• Fix for chat badges displaying inconsistently across the platform.
• Removed captcha on login (per feedback).
• Adjusted Chats, mainly some layout tweaks and worked on improving chat pagination to view past messages without issues, please use the feedback channel if you get issues on Desktop with chat history.
• Added Feedback & Status links in the footer links and adjusted other pages.
• NFT’s on profiles are not split up in pages, this is now all on one page on the profile.
• 1GB file uploads are included after being delayed due to thumbnail issues not being displayed, this is confirmed working in all testing environments, if issues arise please use the feedback channel.
• Push notification support added for when NFT’s are listed (press notify on the NFT to enable) iOS users will receive email notifications, iOS will support the same push notifications once Apple play catch up next year in an iOS 16 update.
The fundamentals of Feeds are finished, but won’t be pushed yet whilst Subscriptions undergoes further tests.
We’ll update you as things go on 🙌
